This show is the 2004 Family Series Tour for The Fulton Opera House.
The challenge with building this show was to make this full looking set
break down to fit in to a fifteen passenger van. The show defiantly
breaks down in to small pieces. I focused on building the hammock
stand, hammock, the back drop and all the rigging for the blinds.
I was also the lighting designer for this show when it was in residence
at The Fulton. We did it in our studio space. I only had a week
to work on the design for the show. It was the best because of my
limited time and the poor units in our studio space, but I was quite pleased
with the outcome. Unfortunately it is impossible to see it in the
pictures, but the transitions were probably the best part of the design.
Very slow transitions between day and night. The moon light looked
very good and so did the sunlight. It seemed like a very successful
show in the end. |
